Bristol gets it's very own weekly Soca radio show starting this Saturday on Ujima 98 FM. The show will be going out live from Midday to 2pm and is hosted by a collective of the city's leading Soca DJs - Kaptin (AAA Badboy), Dub Boy, Sam Atki2 and Jonesy Wales.

They will be playing new tunes from across the Caribbean from Trinidad & Tobago to St Vincent & The Grenadines covering Bashment Soca, Groovy Soca, Dennery Segment, Power Soca, Bouyon and beyond.

Perhaps better known for Jungle, Drum N Bass, Dub and of course Trip hop acts such as Massive Attack, Tricky and Portishead, Bristol has been brewing a small but passionate Soca scene for the past few years, through producers such as Jus Now and nights such as Ruffneck Diskotek at Cosies run by Dub Boy and Sam Atki2 or Tun Up! At The Attic which is also co-run by Dub Boy and Jonesy Wales.

Between them the Super Soca Show crew have played at many carnivals and festivals across the world from Notting Hill to Trinidad, Glastonbury to Clockenflap in Hong Kong.

They will also be hosting the Lime Time truck at Bristol’s very own St Paul’s Carnival this year as well as a big Soca Street Party at Boomtown.

If you’re not in Bristol, you can listen to the show on: http://www.ujimaradio.com/
