Highlights of the Party Monarch semis convinced all who attended that party music is definitely not dead. The 16 semi-finalists definitely brought the fire in the just concluded Party Monarch semi-finals during Phenomenal Friday at Kensington Oval.

The artistes are hoping to be a part of the eight going forward to meet Lil Rick in the finals at Bushy Park.

The judges will have a hard time choosing that eight though, because of all the good showings.

Marzville and Stiffy who are performing later tonight in the Bashment Soca finals both gave quality performances and should be amongst the finalists.

So too should former Party Monarch Mikey.

Perennial finalist and former Party Monarch Mr Blood along with partner iWeb also stand a good chance of making the final.

The females also represented well. Nikita, Faith and newcomers Ashawnya and Chrissy D gave great energetic performances and all stand a good chance of heading to Bushy Park.

Mac Fingall also thoroughly entertained the crowd with his performance of Blows.

The Bashment Soca finals and the Sweet Soca semi-finals are still to come.
