The Constitution Park in Castries came alive on Saturday, March 9 with continued St. Lucia Independence celebrations.
The St. Lucia Independence Committee, along with Mrs. Shirleyann Cyril Mayers, hosted a gospel concert in the capital, highlighting an array of talent, giving God praise.
One of the featured artistes was Trinidad-based St. Lucian-born Nigella".
Nigela St. Clair-Daniel, who boasts of her homeland St. Lucia constantly on social media, has spent the past few years in Trinidad, furthering her education.
In February 2019, the recent MBA graduate released a gospel soca entitled “Greater”.
The song, which was produced by regional gospel artiste, Joshua Ali, has been receiving heavy airplay on Trinidad gospel radio stations.
Nigela has also released a music video for “Greater”, which was also launched in February 2019 and is on repeat on Trinidad’s television station, ACTN-The Voice.
“Greater” has just been launched in St. Lucia, in March, and is already being featured on local radio and television.
The video, which showcases sign language, real-life testimonies and cameo appearances by some of Trinidad’s most popular gospel artistes, can also be enjoyed on YouTube, under the handle "Nigela-Greater”.
Nigela believes that music is powerful and the message of Jesus Christ is so necessary in combating many social ills of today’s society.
