The Small Axe Band held their victory jam on Saturday morning, January 6, along the Bypass Road, to celebrate their fifth Road March title, in six years, with their popular tune the Puppy Song. The jam session was also one of the culminating activities of Sugar Mas 46.
Chairman Mills spoke of several activities that are intended to be acts of gratitude for patrons and vendors, compliments the Carnival Committee.
The Carnival Chairman summarized Sugar Mas 46 as being successful and revealed that his Committee has already initiated plans for Sugar Mas 47. He also noted that the objective is to always build a quality product.
“Carnival based on the date that we have collected would have seen tremendous successes, like any other product we need to strive for continuous improvement. I had an informal meeting with the minister, we are organizing post-mortem and other planning meetings and it is our desire to work closely with all the stakeholders based on the parameters in which we operate, financial and otherwise, to augment the overall quality of the product come Sugar Mas 47.”
The containers that were used as the vendors’ booths, in the Circus Area, will be moved overnight, January 6, so the area can return to a state of normalcy.
