King Rumer, Born Rumari Rogers, was born and raised, on April 18th 1996 in the Sint Maarten Medical Center, on the Friendly Island of St. Maarten and partly on Saba for some time.
Started off as a rapper who always had a love for carnival, King Rumer made the switch from Hip-Hop to Soca August 2016. This change stemmed from the overwhelming love and influence Carnival and Soca has had on him in recent years.
In 2013 he won the “Interscholastic Talent Showdown” competition in the Rap category. In 2015 he became the youngest person in St. Maarten carnival history to capture the Senior Roadmarch crown on his first try. He also went on to win the 2015 Telcell breakthrough competition in the rap category. To close 2015, Rumer was named 1 of St. Marten’s “Most Influential Teens of 2015”. In 2016 he became the youngest person in St. Maarten carnival history to retain his Senior Roadmarch crown, making it twice in a row. And in 2017 he made history by becoming the ONLY person to EVER 3peat in the Senior Roadmarch competition on Sint Maarten.
His current aspirations are to build a solid fan base, build overseas relations with different music agencies and to tour the Caribbean before He's 25. His long term aspirations are to encourage, inspire and motivate people through his music. He is driven to give people that extra push that they need in order to chase their dreams.
After having successful performances in his first international carnival for Rotterdam Zomer Carnaval, King Rumer has his eyes set on reaching even more international carnivals and events in Europe and the USA.
